Savanna Mayor McCombie to run for State House (My Carroll County News)

Savanna Mayor Tony McCombie officially announced Saturday, Sept. 19, that she is a Republican candidate for state representative in the 71st House District for the November 2016 election.

McCombie made the announcement during stops at Savanna’s Marquette Park along with Morrison, Rock Falls, Sterling, Colona and Moline.

“I want to represent the 71st District to continue my commitment to public service for a larger region and bring together the communities of our district,” said McCombie, 42. “I will actively participate and communicate with our residents, businesses, organizations and community leaders to encourage strong growth so we can turn around Illinois.”

…“We deserve representation with passion and conviction because our great state is worth fighting for,” said McCombie. “I will go to Springfield to be a part of the solutions necessary to grow and strengthen our state on behalf of our hardworking families and for the next generation.”
