McCombie recognized for volunteerism, gavel passed to Meyer (Prairie Advocate)

SAVANNA — The Rotary Club of Savanna recently named Tony McCombie as its 2016 Service Above Self recipient.

“The award recognizes an individual from the Savanna area for their volunteer work to make a positive change for others and our community,” said Rotarian JoEllen McCaskey

She is involved in several local projects and committees, such as the Shadfly Festival, Savanna MAPPING, Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern Illinois Mayors Association, to name a few.

“Tony is a role model for volunteerism. She believes in Savanna and will forge ahead to get things done,” said Rotary President Bob North.
